Pa'rus Trail

The Pa'rus Trail closely follows the Virgin River for 1.8 miles between the Zion Canyon Visitor Center and Canyon Junction. This path was developed as part of the plan to reduce congestion within Zion Canyon. During peak visitor season, hikers and bicyclists can continue along the road from Canyon Junction to the Temple of Sinawava and encounter only the occasional shuttle bus. Free from noise and heavy traffic, Pa'rus Trail users can experience the canyon at the pace of Zion's Earlier visitors—the Paiutes and Mormon pioneers.
