About Springville

Springville sits between the eastern arm of Utah Lake and the feet of the Wasatch Mountains. Hobble Creek Canyon cuts into the mountains on the eastern edge of town. The rocky peaks rise high above the greenery of the trees and grass throughout the town.

Springville is known as an arts center for Utah. Statues decorate the streets, and the art museum is a main point of interest in the city.

Mormon pioneers settled the city in the mid 1800s. It is part of the fast-growing Wasatch Front area of Utah, and a suburb of Provo, the main city of Utah Valley. Its population, as of 2000, is 24,424. U.S. Highway 89 is Springville's Main Street, running north and south. Interstate 15 passes to the west of Springville.
