marginals areas into good habitat. An open view to spot predators is essential to the
bighorn. Prescribed burns and chaining create open
forage, as well as travel corridors through dense pinyon-
juniper forest. Reseeding projects create forage; water
projects increase drinking water. Managing wildlife
habitat for the bighorn benefits other species as well.
On Baretop Mountain bighorn share their managed
habitat with elk, pronghorn, and mule deer.
