North Crater
Flow Trail
Here is a chance to walk on lava, once a
flow of red-hot rock.
The trail travels over the most recent of
several successive flows from North Crater.
It is a short, paved loop trail - with a
walking time of 20 minutes.
You will encounter jagged aa lava, folded
pahoehoe, and other rock forms created by
the volcano.
Please stay on the trail.
