About Georgetown
Georgetown is a small town built on the Oregon Trail by Mormon Pioneers. It's population as of the year 2000 is 538.
It is situated at the very north end of Bear Lake Valley. The Bear River passes by a few miles to the west and flows out of the valley through a hilly area. A beautiful canyon, named after the town, cuts into the mountains to the east and a creek of the same name flows from there, and through town on it's way to the Bear River.
