Fish Haven Canyon was cut into the slopes of the Bear River Mountain Range, west of Bear Lake by Fish Haven Creek. Forests of quaking aspen and evergreen trees cover the southern canyon wall, while sagebursh and small plants grow on the northside slope. Sadducee Spring supplies most of the water to the creek, flowing out of the side of the mountiain in a shady hollow.
A dirt road leaving U.S. Highway 89 at Fish Haven offers access to the canyon, along with a few side roads. The road becomes quite rough a bit beyond Sadducee Spring.
