Giant Boulder
Large chunks of older Lassen Peak lava, some as
big as this 400-ton rock, where transported more
than two miles during the May 19, 1915 eruption.
Churning water from melted snow gathered smaller
rocks and boulders which acted as ball bearings to
literally float this huge rock to its present resting
place.
