Main Tunnel
Entrance
From 1904-1922, coal was
extracted from the hert of
Cascade Mountain. Here before
you lies the location of the
main tunnel entrance, called
"Tunnel A". Coal was also mined
on two more levels, namely B
and C, both upslope from here.
As Bankhead succumbed to her
fate, all mine entrances were
sealed by blasting.
