About Great Britain

UntraveledRoad now includes a very brief virtual tour in the Westminster area of London, photographed during spare moments during a trip in the spring of 2007. The tour includes the interior of Westminster Cathedral, and a section of streets along it. England has miles of beautiful scenery in rural countryside, seashores and towns and cities of all sizes. The city of London is full of famous and beautiful buildings, parks and other landmarks. Our brief tour offers one tiny glimpse of such a vast country, but you can see the typical narrow streets, lined with apartments, some of the commercial buildings of the city, and one of the many architectural wonders of the city.

London lies nearly at sea level, on the Thames river, many miles inland from the southeast corner of England. The climate is generally mild but cool because of its northerly location, with an abundance of cloudy and rainy days.
